‘Dan In Real Life’ Movie Review

'Dan In Real Life' StillWe all know that Steve Carell is a down right funny guy from his role in ‘The Office’ and ‘Evan Almighty’. So why should this movie be any different? ‘Dan In Real Life’ is not a crazy, stupid comedy where everything is a joke (and a bad one at that). It is the kind of comedy that has a hidden message. The jokes are hidden among the gentle and heart warming scenes.

The film follows Dan, a widower with three daughters, to a family gathering at his parents’ rambling vacation home in Rhode Island. His encounter with a woman leads to quite a bit of awkwardness. It turns out that she is the new girlfriend of Dan’s bachelor brother, Mitch, and she’s joining the clan for the weekend. (more…)

‘Underdog’ Easily Best Family Movie Of The Year!

‘Underdog’ PosterI was able to cram in a visit to the movies this weekend and finally got a chance to see ‘Underdog’. So the movie looked cute, but whether it was cute or not can only be decided when you watch it! Well it is defnitely as good as it looks.

It’s full of that good humor and sarcasm that you can expect from a great comedy. Not to mention that you have to love the fact that Jason Lee(from ‘My Name Is Earl’)plays the infamous ‘Underdog’ and does a superb job of it. (more…)
