‘Superman Returns’ Reviews
Starring: Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, and James Marsden.
Synopsis: After years of trying to find remnants of his home planet, Superman finally returns to Earth. He comes back to find that Lois Lane, the love of his life, is married, has a son. Lex Luthor, his greatest enemy, is scheming to create a continent made of kryptonite, which will destroy most of North America, and Superman himself.
Review: ‘Superman Returns’ has amazing graphics and the plot really isn’t that bad either. But there are a few things that make this movie not so great. Like the fact that Superman has a son, who inherits his powers, but just starts to show them? That’s a bit of a stretch.
The acting was not as good as it could have been. Brandon Routh looked alot like Superman, but he was a very somber version of him. If any can remember the original movies, they will remember that he was very outgoing and very clumsy when he was Clark Kent. Kate Bosworth, played a very bitter Lois Lane, instead of the goofy and brash one that we are so used to. Kevin Spacey was my favorite and he played his pary very well. He even makes you laugh at some points and he brings to mind the Lex Luthor we all know and love.
Overall, it was an ok movie that is fun to see, but not one to watch over and over again. The die hard Superman fans will be dissapointed. I would not recommend this movie if you are looking for a great one to see on a fun night.
